After learning all about the Isle of Struay everyone designed their own island. Their challenge was to make sure their island included all of the following: roads, houses, a pier, a shop, a school, fields and a community building. Each island has its own unique name too and we are very proud to display them outside our classroom.
Welcome to the Primary 2 Bumblebees class blog! Please feel free to look at our blog anytime to find out what we have been doing at school and add any comments. If you make a comment please be sure to post your name beside it too. By clicking on any of the images you will be able to see bigger versions of them.

Ladybirds and Bumblebees
Primary 7 Helpers
After reading all about Katie Morag and the Isle of Struay we decided to design our own islands (photos coming soon). Everybody came up with a name for their island and we were very grateful to the Primary Sevens for coming in to our class to show us how to use the laptops and help us type up our island names and change the colour and style of the writing.
Thank you
Primary 7s!
Katie Morag display
We have been reading the Katie Morag stories to help us learn about islands. We have worked really hard to make our own map of Struay for our classroom wall and each person made a place or a person from the story.
We can keep adding to our map as we learn more about the characters and stories from the Isle of Struay.
